1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Full Name, Registered Mobile Number, Email Address (main.vidyonix@gmail.com), and account passwords (stored using secure cryptographic hashing).

B. Smart Home & IoT Telemetry Data: Smart device unique identifiers (MAC Address, Device UUID), state logs (relay ON/OFF state, fan speed levels, power status), custom room names, room icons, device-to-room mappings, and real-time MQTT message payloads.

C. Wi-Fi & Local Network Provisioning Data: Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and local Wi-Fi credentials entered during smart device setup. Credentials are used strictly to provision hardware microcontrollers on your local network.

D. Financial & Payment Transaction Data: Subscriptions and in-app transactions are handled via Razorpay Payment Gateway. We collect Order IDs, Razorpay Payment IDs, payment signatures, and subscription status. We explicitly do NOT process, collect, or store raw credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, net banking credentials, or UPI PINs on Vidyonix servers.

E. Device Permissions & Local Storage: Camera permission (strictly for scanning QR codes during device onboarding and capturing optional profile pictures), Local Network access (for discovering smart IoT hardware), and encrypted client-side storage for session authentication tokens (JWT) via @react-native-async-storage/async-storage.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create, authenticate, and manage your Vidyonix user account and session state.
To route real-time smart home commands, switch controls, and room automation rules over secure MQTT channels.
To process subscription payments, issue billing receipts, and verify service entitlements via Razorpay.
To send critical security alerts, One-Time Password (OTP) verification codes, and system status notices.
To detect fraud, prevent unauthorized access, and protect cloud infrastructure.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize user data. Data is shared strictly with authorized infrastructure sub-processors:

Razorpay Payment Gateway: For PCI-DSS certified transaction processing and payment verification.
Cloud Infrastructure Providers: For secure database hosting (PostgreSQL), API execution, and server backups.
MQTT Messaging Services: For real-time, encrypted message transport between mobile devices and smart hardware.
SMS Gateway Providers: For delivering mobile OTP verification codes.
Legal Compliance: Only when mandated by enforceable court orders or legal processes.

4. Data Security & Storage Standards

All communication between the mobile app, backend APIs, and MQTT brokers uses TLS / HTTPS 1.3 encryption. Passwords are salted and cryptographically hashed before storage. Session tokens are stored in secure client-side storage, and server access is governed under strict least-privilege principles.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy

We retain personal data and device configurations for as long as your account remains active. Temporary technical logs are automatically purged within 30 days.

How to Exercise Account Deletion:

Native Web Request Form: Fill out the site-native form below.
Email Support: Send an email to main.vidyonix@gmail.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".
In-App Settings: Navigate to Settings ➔ Profile ➔ Delete Account inside the Vidyonix app.

Request Account & Data Deletion

In compliance with Google Play Store User Data policies and data privacy regulations, you can request the permanent deletion of your Vidyonix account, profile information, and paired IoT smart home device logs.

Personal profile details (Name, Email, Mobile) will be purged.

All paired smart home switches and room layouts unlinked.

Session tokens and device state history wiped.
